During the month of October we have celebrated the Environment Week in Primary. The aim was to work across the School to highlight the need to work together on reducing the amount of plastic paper waste, as well as encouraging correct separating and recycling of rubbish. British Council has an important Environmental policy, our Environmental Management System has achieved ISO14001 certification across our UK estate and our environmental action plan sets targets for reducing our carbon footprint.
Some of the activities that students did and lessons that they learnt were reducing waste and correctly separating rubbish in the classroom, the creation of a poster competition during the week, to have signs for the classes for switching off the lights, and bringing a bottle for water. Friday 16th Oct was the green day and children enjoyed to come in Green!
